By 2022, when India celebrates its 75th year of independence, there will be one main language throughout the nation as well as many other languages spoken by small minority groups in specific regions. In 2022, India celebrates its 76th year of independence. To commemorate the occasion, we have compiled some interesting facts about the country’s history. The Independence Day of India in 1947 was a turning point in the history of our nation. It was on this day that the last British soldiers left Indian soil and our country became truly free. Since then, Independence Day has been celebrated every year with great pomp and ceremony. Indian nationalism began to grow in the late 19th century as more and more Indians began to question British rule. The Second World War was a turning point as it weakened the British hold on India. After the war, the Labour Party came to power in Britain and decided to grant independence to India. On August 15, 1947, India became an independent nation.

The Quit India Movement was a part of this movement that helped India gain independence from British rule. The campaign starts by calling for all Indians to quit their government jobs, schools, or businesses and demand that all British people leave India.
