See the meaning.
Find the words.
Our immersion method connects language to real situations. You see, listen, respond and practise with your tutor — building understanding through conversation.
Tap each step to explore. Live pronunciation feedback comes from your tutor in class.
Behind every conversation,
a tutor who listens.
A real tutor notices when you hesitate, helps with your pronunciation and builds the next sentence around what you are trying to say.
That human attention is at the centre of Hindustani Tongue, alongside visuals, everyday situations and plenty of speaking practice.
Understanding the language is not the same as being able to speak it.
For many families living outside India, the language is still around the child or adult — in parents, grandparents, films, songs and family calls — but speaking never becomes automatic.
That is the gap we focus on. Instead of beginning with grammar theory, we create situations where the learner sees, understands, responds and gradually starts thinking in the language.

We match the teaching style to the learner
A six-year-old heritage learner, an adult beginner and someone learning for their partner do not need the same lesson. The human tutor adapts.
Children & heritage learners
Visual, playful lessons that help children move from understanding the family language to speaking it comfortably.
Absolute beginners
Patient, context-first teaching for learners who are starting with little or no knowledge of the language.
Goal-focused adults
Lessons shaped around family, travel, work, culture, relationships or whichever real-life reason brought you here.
Different goals. Personal experiences.
“I started with zero Hindi knowledge. After a few months with Hindustani Tongue I was having basic conversations with my Indian colleagues. The immersion method genuinely works in a way I had not experienced before.”
“My teacher Manvee has been incredibly supportive. Thanks to her guidance, my confidence in Hindi speaking has grown significantly in just two months. I can now communicate with my Indian in-laws — which was my main goal.”
“As an Indian born outside India, I did not know Hindi. Manvee is a wonderfully patient teacher who explains everything in a way that makes complete sense. I am making extraordinary progress.”
“I grew up in the UK and always wanted to speak proper Punjabi to understand Gurbani. My Hindustani Tongue tutor was extraordinary — patient, knowledgeable and deeply respectful of the spiritual dimension.”
“I enrolled my daughter in Tamil lessons and she loves them. She can now chat with her grandparents in Chennai properly. The tutor made every session genuinely fun and she looks forward to every class.”
“My children were born in Australia and Malayalam was fading from their lives. Hindustani Tongue found us a wonderful tutor who made the lessons come alive. They now speak properly with family in Kerala.”
Questions we hear all the time
Is the trial really free?
Yes. The trial is a live 30-minute lesson and no card is required to book it. The purpose is to let you experience the teaching method and tutor interaction before deciding whether you want to continue.
I understand the language but cannot speak. Is this for me?
Yes. This is a very common starting point for heritage learners. The lesson focuses on turning passive understanding into active speaking through guided conversation, visual context and repetition.
Can complete beginners join?
Absolutely. Visual immersion is especially helpful for beginners because meaning is introduced through context instead of long grammar explanations before you are allowed to speak.
Can my child learn with Hindustani Tongue?
Yes. Children can be matched with tutors who use age-appropriate visuals, stories, repetition and conversation to keep the language active and engaging.
Do you teach students outside India?
Yes. Lessons are online and scheduling is designed for students in different time zones, including the UK, USA, Canada, UAE, Australia, Europe and elsewhere.
How is this different from a language-learning app?
An app can give you exercises, but a live tutor can listen to your pronunciation, notice where you hesitate, adapt the pace and build conversation around your personal goals in real time.
